  • Pilates is an exercise system that was created by Joseph Pilates. He called it Contrology. It is low impact and increases both strength and range of motion. Working the whole body (especially the core) it improves balance, co-ordination and can combat habitual postural issues such as rounding of the shoulders (commonly seen as a result of desk jobs).

  • Wear comfortable fitness clothing that allows for a wide range of movement. Form fitting breathable fabrics are ideal for example, leggings, yoga pants or shorts. Barefoot or grip socks (non-slip). Avoid zips that can damage the equipment or baggy clothing that may get caught up in the equipment.

  • We recommend two to three times a week however you may choose to practice more or less frequently depending on your goals and interests. You may also wish to combine Pilates with other sports as part of your cross training schedule. All training helps whether it’s once a week or more.

  • As long as you have received permission from your doctor that it is safe for you to train. Please ensure that you inform us of any injury or illness that may impact your training. We also recommend that you sign up for a private or duet class.

  • If your scheduled instructor is sick, another instructor may teach the class.

    No filming of others in the studio without their consent.

    Arrive on time for classes.
